SFTP access now available to all webhosting clients

  • July 23, 2010 by Frank Collette
Lets face it, plain text FTP is no longer a valid option for transferring files.  Did you know that your username, password, and data are passed in plain text?  That is not good at all, it can actually allow someone to intercept your information.

Using SFTP your username, password, and data are encrypted at the beginning of the session.

To connect to our SFTP server you would use your standard domain username/password.  The hostname to connect to would be ftp..com and the port for SFTP is 22.

A few free email clients are WinSCP and FileZilla Client.
